With an investment volume of around three million euros, Asma has comprehensively modernised and expanded the Weitra site in recent months. The major project has now been successfully completed and marks an important milestone in the company’s continued development.
The new Kardex warehouse system was already put into operation during the first construction phase. This significantly improved storage capacity, material availability and process efficiency. The modern warehouse technology supports optimal supply to production and creates the basis for future growth.
In parallel, extensive refurbishment and conversion measures were implemented inside the building. In addition to renewing foundations, floors and technical systems, modern staff facilities were created for employees. The new changing rooms are already in operation and provide up-to-date conditions for everyday work.
With the completion of the final construction phase, the areas around the sheet storage as well as the grinding and cleaning rooms were also comprehensively modernised. The result is more efficient processes, optimised infrastructure and a modern working environment that meets Asma’s high quality standards.
